How do I proceed? Variant 1 (before paving)
- Excavating the construction site
- Placing the ballast
- Compacting and leveling the ballast bed
- Connect the required SnapEdge elements
- Cut the rear stabilizers for inside or outside radii or inside or outside corners
- Attach the SnapEdge paver restraint to the compacted and leveled surface using pikes*
- Bring in gravel
- Levelling gravel – e.g. with our screeding rails
- Lay your slabs or paving stones
- Backfill the SnapEdge paver restraint with topsoil, gravel, bark mulch, etc.
* In the sidewalk area one spike approx. every 60cm
In areas with traffic or in corners, one spike every 30 cm.
Other procedures/uses are possible, e.g. as lawn edging
How do I proceed? Variant 2 (after plastering)
- Excavating the construction site
- Placing the ballast
- Compacting and leveling the ballast bed
- Bring in gravel
- Levelling gravel – e.g. with our screeding rails
- Lay your slabs or paving stones
- Frame the paving surface with SnapEdge paver restraint
- Connect the required SnapEdge elements
- Cut the rear stabilizers for inside or outside radii or inside or outside corners
- Finally, the SnapEdge edge protection is attached using the ground pegs *.
